Kadikalesi has retained its Turkish ambience and is very much centred on the beach front. If you want lively nightlife then head to the nearby Turgutreis approx 4km from Kadikalesi. . If you're looking for a beach vacation or a party, you're sure to get your money's worth here. Turgutreis is the second-largest town on the western part of the peninsula, after Bodrum. It offers numerous large supermarkets and specialist stores, as well as restaurants and cafés. Exclusive boutiques are located around the new marina, and on Saturdays, Turgutreis hosts the largest farmers' market in the entire peninsula. Departing from Turgutreis, you can take day tours to various Greek islands or embark on a boat and beach journey along the Turkish coast.
