As one of Turkey’s lesser-known resorts, Guvercinlik guarantees a relaxing holiday. This Turkish village is often bypassed for the brighter lights of Bodrum – but there’s plenty to see and do here. Highlights include boat trips to mysterious Salih Island and hikes in the hills that back Guvercinlik’s harbour.
The location lends itself to all kinds of daytrips. Stay local and learn about the flora and fauna that clad this rugged bit of coast, or explore the cave-studded seashore by boat. Alternatively, branch out and visit the neighbours – like Bodrum, which is a 20-minute drive away. You could also spend a day in the rustic village of Bogazici, or head to Yalikavak with its super luxury Palm Marina
Guvercinlik hasn’t got a proper beach, although there are jetties around the bay where you can sit and eye up the scenery. You can also book a boat trip which is the iea place to take in the blue and green scenery. If its a beach that you are looking for then there are numerous inlets and bays in the opposite direction from Villa Tropicano.
